Guest Post: Shoe Styling with Online Avenue

Have you ever looked on Online Avenue? I discovered them today and have already found loads of shoes on their website that I want! I didn’t expect the prices to be so cheap too! Here are two of my fave shoes from the website:

The Raquel Peep Toe Retro Pumps are bang on trend. I love nude/sand coloured things at the moment, the colour matches basically everything and looks pretty with everything. The chunky high heel looks super comfortable too. I think that these would be the perfect spring/summer shoes, you’d get a lot of wear out of them! They match lots of pastel coloured clothing, and even black or grey. Pair them with ripped skinny jeans/boyfriend jean, a high-waisted skirt, or even shorts! Match the white heel to a white top/accessory and you’re ready to go.
The Julissa Stiletto Platform Ankle Boots are so chic. Ankle boots are so in right now, so these ones with a stiletto heel are extra on trend. I love the colour combination of black and gold, it looks classy and stylish and never goes out of style. These super high closed toe heels are timeless, and great for a night out! Something that drew me to them was the curved zip, as it’s really unique and unusual. I’m sure this would have people asking where you got your shoes from! These ones are suede, but they also come in faux-leather (love!). And for only £20.50 you really have no excuse not to buy them! Pair with wet-look leggings and rock some gold accessories for a night on the town. Or for a more casual look, wear jeans and a knitted jumper or loose top. Paint your nails black (or even matte black) to pull your whole outfit together.

What do you think of these shoes? Are you a sucker for shoes?

Intern Insight: Ipanema Flip Flop Wish List

Ok, so today is my first day as a student intern at EtailPR and after mentioning an upcoming summer holiday I have planned on the calendar, Ipanema was the site said to seriously take a look at and i'm glad I did just that.

After having a look around the site, I have finally slimmed my wish list down. I’m often searching high and low for a decent pair of fashionable yet comfortable flip flops and overall summer shoes, and after visiting Ipanema the prices seem quite reasonable and the choice of style is spot on for me.

Starting off with the Ipanema Diamond II Sandal priced at £23, these sandals are adjustable and look so stylish. These paired with a simple maxi dress for the summer nights is an outfit inspiration. Brown isn’t the only colour they come in also, and knowing the comfort of Ipanema flip-flops, you’re not going to find a better buy on the market.

These Ipanema Jewel II Flip Flops can add a touch of class to any outfit, with the jewel design encrusted onto the shoe you’re sure to “stand out from the crowd”. The shoe comes in various colours that are easily matchable to your 2015 summer wardrobe. Knowing you can rely on the comfort aspect for this shoe, whilst also being easy to clean, girls shouldn’t be without an Ipanema shoe this summer.

I just have to mention these Ipanema Women's Switch Straps Flip Flop that come with two additional straps! They also come in 8 different colours and designs and are priced at only £25!! You’ll be mad not to think these are the perfect pair of flip-flops to have in your wardrobe this summer, and I should also mention that Ipanema provide FREE UK delivery if you order three or more pairs, which is a deal in itself.

These Ipanema Aztec Women's Flip Flop with its aztec print and features will catch everyone’s eye, and the added touch of an embossed print strap adds luxury. As my final favourite shoe its definitely one of my favourites on Ipanema and I sway anyone to take a look. The company also specialise in men’s and kids footwear, so buying gifts or helping the other half with their summer wardrobe is available!

The comfort of these Ipanema Vitraux Sandal I know will satisfy even the pickiest of buyers as even as a sandal, Ipanema retain the comfort factor throughout their entire shoe collection. The jewels give the shoe elegance and I can guarantee these will grab attention. These sandals also come in 5 different colours and sizes 3-8.

Lastly are the Ipanema Spring Sandal, which are very stylish and an original sandal/flip-flop are a night time staple for me. There the type of shoe I’d wear on the summer nights and think are a perfect outfit setter, with the unique print design and flower motif on the strap.

So that is my little Ipanema wish list!

Guest Post: Starting Up My Blog

I’ve always had an interest in fashion, fitness and beauty but the fashion side stemmed from my Nan. I’ve grown up seeing her care about her image and having a fantastic wardrobe dating back to the 1950’s. She always kept her clothes and I’ve been lucky enough to have them slowly passed down to me. With my wardrobe ever expanding I wanted to show off what I had, giving people the opportunity to think outside the box and not just buy what they see on the high street mannequins but to be adventurous. With this in mind I started ‘My Sophisticated Secrets’.

After 3 months of writing my blog through Blogger I needed to up my game and that’s when I came across etailPr, who are an online bloggers network for bloggers to connect with brands. You can team up with brands and help with campaigns whilst raising brand awareness. I joined etailPR midway through January 2015 and so far my experience has been very pleasant. Once you have signed up, your blog is reviewed for approval and once my blog was accepted I was sent an email from one of the Talent Managers and since then if I had any questions or needed help it’s only been one email away. Having a direct email address and contact number gives it a great personal touch and is reassuring that someone is there to help.

I'm still finding my way with my blog. I have lots to write about and want to show my audience so much, I'm just still working out how to do it as a 'one man band'! I look the part with my new Nikon camera, a fashion journal, and a good wardrobe, I just don't know what to do with it all but I'm enjoying learning. I'm excited to see how I will develop and how this will all turn out, and of course for all you to be a part of it.

Guest Post: Life as a Male Blogger

I have just began my 4th week of blogging and I can not believe how much I am enjoying it.
Before I actually plucked up the courage to start my blog I was having serious doubts because i've never been know for expressing my opinions. Also I think the only other time I have used a laptop is when I play Champ Manager.

So on Friday the 2nd of January I did finally pluck up the courage to start my blog and to be honest I didn't have a clue where to start. But I was determined so I give it a go but because my wife has been blogging for over a year now I roped her into getting me started. I was really grateful for her help as I would probably still be doing it now.

I got started straight away and came up with this post, it was just a small post about myself just to let people know who I was and what I was all about and what my interests were and it didn't take me long to finish and that was it I was officially a blogger and now there was no stopping me. I was so happy I had loads of ideas in my head about my next post and a few more after that my wife said I was like a different man, in other words I wasn't been grumpy ha ha!

All night I was glued to my laptop watching my blogger stats and I kept getting a tad excited when my views went up, the feeling was really nice and when I woke up the next morning I turned my laptop on straight away even before I made a coffee which was definitely strange for me. I was so happy when it said that 18 people had read my post as it was a feeling of excitement and also shock

Over the next few days it kind of was the same story - I posted a few more new posts and I gained a few more followers a couple were male followers but mainly ladies. Everybody was being so supportive, RT my posts and leaving nice comments on my pages - some even recommending me to other bloggers and recommending others to me.

I spent a bit of time searching for fellow male bloggers and I found a few and was introduced to a couple by friends I had made and from family members who are also bloggers. To get to know more bloggers I joined a few blog chats which now I love and try my best not to miss.
During one of these chats I met a fellow male called James I found his blog really good and really enjoyed reading it, we still often tweet each other which is nice.

Becoming a blogger has got to be one of the best decisions I have ever made and I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me with open arms and the blog community is truly amazing.

I hope you have enjoyed this post.

Please feel free to visit my blog A Blokes Eye View.

Guest Post: Award Season Style with Blue Vanilla

I don’t know about you but I love the glitz and glamour of the Awards Season (which if you had not noticed is now upon us). The Golden Globes have been and gone and we have the BAFTA’s soon which these days rivals the Oscars for attendance of A List stars and glamour.

I hate to say the Globes were a disappointment. I can only count on one hand how many dresses looked good and happily most of the Brits won in the style stakes. The best dressed for me though was Dame Helen Mirren looking sexy and classy in a gorgeous floor length red gown by Dolce and Gabbana which showed just a hint of cleavage but covered her arms and skimmed those curves. Fabulous. Not quite sure what Rosamund Pike and Kate Hudson were thinking but shoot the stylist girls!

It got me thinking what would I wear to an awards show? Would I risk wearing something daring and colourful or go classic? I have picked out a few dresses from the online retailer Blue Vanilla who I sampled an outfit through etailPR.  Here are three looks I would go for.
Look 1: Classic black dress with one shoulder and sequin details. Can’t go wrong with a black dress and this looks classy and you won’t be worried about tripping up or straps falling down.
Look 2: This is a nice take on the classic LBD. Its short but the higher neckline stops it looking cheap. The lace overlay is very pretty and unless you trip up the stairs collecting your award aka Jennifer Lawrence then no wardrobe malfunctions should arise!
Look 3: Finally you have to have a bit of glitz and glamour to sparkle on the red carpet. This in style off the shoulder ‘Bardot’ sequin dress fits that requirement and would look great with a nice necklace.
Check the Blue Vanilla website out for more dresses and etailPR for tips and blogging opportunities.

Guest Post: Why Bloggers Love Our Network

The lovely Laura from November Girl x tells you why she loves the etailPR Blogger Network.

Why I love the etailPR blogger network.

I first heard about the blogger network a few months ago and was instantly intrigued. I'm personally quite a shy person and don't like to tell people about my love of blogging, i'm always worried that people will think I'm crazy. This network has given me the opportunity to communicate with other bloggers and talk to people who love the same things that I do.

Below are a few reasons why I love it!

1. Connecting - This network is perfect to help bloggers connect with other bloggers and brands. If you are new to blogging this would be perfect.

2. Review - They give you the chance to contact brands and review product samples, you can apply to work with brands in an easy step.

3. Competitions - Who doesn’t love competitions? etailPR hold monthly competitions and their prizes are pretty impressive.

4. Blogger Events - If you are a part of the network it means you may be invited to exclusive blogger events, for me this was a great reason to sign up. Events are a great way of meeting bloggers.

5. Discount Codes - Who doesn’t love discounts!! We all love shopping but all wish we could get our hands of some discount codes. If you are a member of the network you can access exclusive discount codes!

For anyone that isn't already a member of the blogger network I urge you to sign up, its FREE too (who doesn't love free things). The blogger network is also great for blogging and can potentially help you grow your blog and find more readers.

As a side note etailPR are also amazing at connecting with bloggers, they are great on twitter and always tweeting about interesting things and they always reply! I personally hate it when you tweet a company/brand/person and they ignore you (I know i’m not the only one). They have a pretty impressive blog too.

I hope to see some of you on the network soon!

Guest Post: Clueless Inspired A/W OOTD

Ok i'm still not over the "clueless" inspired look trend that was happening, i posted a few outfit looks with it over the summer/AW on my blog but i am loving this look purely for my new knee high boots... finally i have got my hands on a pair that i love as the last pair were so long on my little legs they looked like trousers.
I am loving these because they are real leather and have fur inside of them, the ultimate winter boot with the chunky heel, i will not have these beauties off! So this look is another for winter, im already seeing brands bringing out their spring range.. hello i live in Scotland its winter all year round, so im not over the faux/fur/layers thing we all had going on for a while.

I have styled this Glamorous skirt with a polo neck and my favourite gillet from Blue Vanilla - thanks to the guys at etailPR. An effortless outfit perfect for shoving on for going shopping or doing whatever, a fedora/floppy hat would look so good with this outfit. I hope you love this simple AW look and if you recreate a "Clueless" inspired outfit i would love to see it!
