Celeb Style: Emma Stone

Our last couple of Celeb Style posts have featured slightly more casual looks from our favourite celebs, so this week we thought we'd focus on Emma Stone and her gorgeous red carpet fashion. 

With Emma recently starring in Gangster Squad, it's the perfect time to admire her vintage-esque image. The deep purple, black and reds she wears on the red carpet suit her skin tone perfectly, she always looks so elegant! We love her look equally with both auburn and blonde hair - stunning!

We always love seeing behind the scenes previews of cute brands and learning how their new collections are bought to life. The Londoner's tantalising recipes!

This week in the office, whilst taking a look at the lovely Rosie's blog we accidently (on purpose) clicked on to her recipes tab at the top of her blog. An hour or so later we were left feeling very hungry and inspired to rustle something interesting up for dinner.

There are so many delicious recipes on Rosie's blog and the ones pictured above are just a few of our favourites. In particular we loved her Avocado Spaghetti (which we have all now made as it is SO easy!), her gigantic Oreo Cake and we couldn't not share with you her Nacho Burger! Yes you heard right, not only does this burger consist of beef, cheese and bun, but also nachos and guacamole!!! Heaven.

Just writing this post is making our tummies rumble again.

Life of Pi

This week I went to see Life of Pi at the cinema in 3D. I know it's been out a while now but I'm really glad I caught it before it leaves the cinema for good.

I won't give too much away in case you are still hoping to see it, but it was very different to what I expected it to be. I think the trailer did a brilliant job of showing how beautiful the film is without giving too much about the story away.

It was a very powerful film and the imagery was out of this world - in 3D the colours were even more amazing. The film takes you on a real journey of a mix of emotions.  I wasn't expecting it to be so happy, sad, scary and funny all at the same time! I really want to read the book now :)

This weeks celeb style post is on the absolutely stunning Cara Delevingne. We are in awe of her personal style, she keeps her image fresh and smart with a casual, urban twist. Often mixing tailored trousers or skinny jeans with a statement leather jacket (a wardrobe must have), Cara always looks so stylish yet so comfortable! 

Also, with celebrity friends like Rita Ora who we featured last week, Rhianna and Alexa Chung we really wish we were a part of their gang!

We posted about Lashes of London's new lookbook a while ago, so we thought we'd pick out some of our favourite pieces from their new SS13 collection. As you can see, sequins and sparkle aren't just for Christmas - they're here to stay for spring/summer too!

We love the gorgeous iridescent Pilosa dress, as seen on Tara from The Style Rawr. Check out her post for beautiful images of the shimmer and colours in the material. The Sindy Sequin Mini has also been featured on the lovely Lydia from Fashion Influx, we love how she's toughened this dress up with a black leather jacket and chunky heels.

This weekend we are attempting to make these wonderful chocolate stuffed Ferrero Rocher cupcakes that Becky posted on her blog. They looked so scrummy we just have to try them for ourselves.

Pitch Perfect

We might be a bit late to the party with this, but we went to see Pitch Perfect this week. It was about time another American highschool/college singing movie was released!

This film is filled with hiliarous moments, a gorgeous cast and random outbursts of song - what more could you want?! Without giving too much away, there's a scene where they have a 'riff-off', which is basically a shameless collection of acapella songs that will get you singing along straight away.

The characters in this film are amazing - 'Fat Amy', played by Rebel Wilson, is our personal favourite. She's got lines that you'll be quoting for days!

Celeb Style: Rita Ora

This week's Celeb Style post features the gorgeous Rita Ora (who, we have just found out, is only 22!). We love her street style with a vintage twist - the blonde curls and classic red lips give her a slightly Marilyn-esque look. Rita has also stated that Gwen Stefani is one of her style inspirations, we can definitely see the influence there too!

Whether dressed up at an event, or casual, she always looks stunning. We're very jealous that Rita is close friends with Cara Delevingne, she's often featured on Rita's instagram, we want to be friends with them too!

Oreo Cupcake Recipe

Cake mixture:

120g self raising flour

120g butter

120 caster sugar

2 eggs

1tbsp cocoa powder

Icing:

120g butter

240g icing sugar

1 pack Oreos

To make these delicious Oreo cupcakes you need to first set your oven to 160 degrees and place 12 cupcake cases onto a cupcake baking tray.

Cream the butter and sugar together gently until the mixture is of a smooth consistency. Add 1 egg at a time and carefully sift the self raising flour in, alternating between the two. Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and spoon mixture into the cupcake cases. Bake for 20 - 24 minutes.

Whilst your cakes are baking you can make the butter icing. Carefully cream the butter and icing sugar together, by adding spoonfuls of the icing sugar now and again. You can either leave your icing as plain butter icing or you could add crushed Oreo to give the speckled effect above. To do this, use a rolling pin to crush a few Oreo biscuits until they are crumbled into very small, dust like pieces. And stir into your icing mixture.

Once the cakes are ready, leave to cool before piping your icing on. When all the cakes are iced you can add half an Oreo to each one (as pictured above).

The Impossible

This weekend some of us in the office are off to watch The Impossible, starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. Have any of you seen it?

We have been eagerly awaiting the release of this film, the trailer alone left all of us girls feeling very emotional. Nobody will ever forget the tragic tsunami that hit Southeast Asia in 2004, it's hard to believe it happened over 6 years ago now. With incredible scenes like the one pictured above, J.A Bayona looks to have done a superb job at showing the true magnitude and intensity of this natural disaster.

Celeb Style: Kim & Kanye

With the news that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will be expecting their first child together we took a look through some photos of the super couple and their impeccable style. Often voting for the classic black tailored suit and formal dress, the couple regularly step out looking fabulous.

Even though in the classic episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when Kanye West famously threw out most of Kim's clothing, we still see the pair sporting a little more 'ghetto fabulous' than fabulous sometimes. But we still love them all the same.

And we hear the couple and the pregnancy will be aired on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we can't wait!
